Game Admins - Apply here!
Hi everyone:

We are looking for some good gaming administrators that have experience with managing Steam/HLDS instances, COD4, etc. Please shoot an e-mail to gaming@thefragzone.com with your experience, if you were a previous TFZ admin, and what servers you would prefer to manage.

Thanks everyone!

Background Contest!
Our focus is on gamers who use our site and members of the gaming community.

To add to the sense of community, The Frag Zone team is hosting a monthly contest for a new background for the TFZ home page.

The next background could come from you!

Every month, we will choose a new, user-submitted background for The Frag Zone home page.

Submission Rules

- All submissions must be original artwork.

- The preferred contest entry size is 1900 pixels wide and 1200 pixels in height. If fadeout backgrounds are submitted, the height should be less than 1200 pixels. Please use the following JPG as a template:
http://www.aroundcentralflorida.com/gaming/images/background-template.jpg

- Graphics must be within the size constraints listed in the submission rules without stretching or warping.

- Submit JPGs only with a file size of less than 1 megabyte. Do not submit ZIP files of your images. ZIP files will be disqualified.

- Do not send links to images or other gaming websites.

- Use the following subject line for all submissions: "Background Contest:"

- Artwork cannot contain advertisements or links to other websites. A signature in the bottom right corner of the image is acceptable, but it cannot be larger than 150x50 pixels. The signature cannot contain URLs.

- E-mail entries must contain name of artist exactly the way it is to appear on The Frag Zone. The artist's name cannot exceed 150 characters.

- By submitting an image you acknowledge that you own the copyright for the image and grant to "The Frag Zone" permission to display the image on its server and to use  the image in promotional and marketing material or any other manner we see fit. There is no financial reimbursement for submitting a picture. The prize is your image used as a background on The Frag Zone home page.

- Entries that do not meet the requirements will be disqualified.

Alright, since you read the rules, please send your submission to Gaming_AT_TheFragZone.com. (Please replace the "_AT_" with @.)

Forum Rules - Revised!!!

Please read the following before posting.

The Frag Zone is proud to present the TFZ Gaming Forums!

TFZ is maintained by numerous Bright House Networks employees and several volunteer gaming admins. The main goal of TFZ forums and game servers is to provide a complimentary service to our customers and the general public.

Some of you realize that an incredible amount of work has gone into making this a great place to find a game, meet friends, and to just plain have some fun. Please let us know how we can further provide service to the local and far-reaching gaming communities. We hope that these forums will assist the community by providing yet another service with which to communicate.

In order to maintain an environment that is fun for all, several rules have been established. Most of the rules are common sense, and they are outlined in our game server acceptable use policy (AUP), User Agreement, Privacy Notice, and the subscription agreements and terms of service unique to the Internet Service Providers that offer their service over the Bright House Networks Central Florida backbone. These rules are subject to change without notice. These forums and the information contained herein are governed by the same rules and policies as our game servers.

There may be a situation for a moderator, administrator, or regular user to refer someone to a website outside of these forums to make a point or as reference to provide appropriate assistance. A good example of this would be for driver downloads/tech advice, or to other forums related to the situation at hand. These outside sites are in no way endorsed by Around Central Florida, TFZ, or Bright House Networks. Each person posting a link is responsible for it, and falls under the same rules as stated below. If a link poses a problem, please let us know.

Posts to these forums that we, in our sole discretion, deem to be in violation of our rules may be edited or deleted. We reserve the right, but undertake no duty, to review, edit, move or delete any material provided for display here, without notice. Although we will strive to maintain a vigilant stance in watching the forums, please be advised that we cannot be on the web boards/forums at all times, and without your assistance in reporting abuses/violations, something may be overlooked. Please feel free to send any administrator/moderator a private message in this regard.

Next,

To keep this forum clean, usable, and helpful to others, a set of rules have been put together that we ask all forum members to comply with:

Golden Rules:

Post in the correct forum!  You may have your post moved/deleted if you post in the wrong forum! Don't be surprised if a moderator moves/deletes it.
Use a descriptive Topic Subject.  This will help others find what they want to read. Topics with bad Topic subjects may be edited/deleted!
Research your Post! Make sure you are not double-posting. Search the forums first.
No trolling.  Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people.
Personal Attacks. Criticize ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others' privacy, sexually-oriented, or violates any laws.
No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectionable material.  This includes suggestive images, graphics, and comments, including signatures.
Do not post links to password, warez, warez sites or sites that have pornographic or objectionable content. Only link to sites that are suitable for all audiences.
Respect the privacy of others.  Do not post other's personal information or pictures, etc., without their permission.
Phone numbers may not be posted in any forum.
Each forum member may have only one account. No dupes.
 Do not use objectionable language.
Do not dig up old threads. If you want to continue an old discussion (older than 1 month), create a new thread and reference the old one in your post.
NO Blatant Advertising. This forum is not free advertising space. This includes chain-links and warfare link games.
Politics and Religion. This is not a political or religious site; this is a community gaming site. Please do not post on issues that can be considered political.
NO Spamming. No commercial posts or flooding the forum with useless content.
Message content. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages.
No Caps Lock. Please do not post messages with the subject or post all in capital letters, or your message will be deleted. Words all in capital letters are not only annoying but are read 50 percent slower than normal writing. Please do not use all caps in the Subject Field.

Signatures:

Signatures shall be no longer than four lines.
Signatures may contain 1 image (max. 250 x 100 pixels).
Signatures may contain a link to your personal site or sites that may be of use to other members. No Blatant advertising!
Signatures are expected to follow the same guidelines as posts. Nothing offensive will be tolerated!

If you are found breaking any of the rules, your forum account may be deleted immediately and you may be banned from the forums. No warnings will be given or are required!

The long and the short of this is, please respect your fellow community members, be nice, and have fun.

General Rule of Thumb: If you have to ask if something is OK to post, then it probably isn't....

Regards,

-TFZ Gaming Staff
